Should I use Google Translate on Fundraise Up checkout?

Fundraise Up checkout is not designed to work with automatic translation tools such as Google Translate, browser auto-translate features, or other third-party translators.

These tools can modify checkout text after the page loads and may cause inconsistent language display, incorrect translations, or other localization issues.

To provide supporters with a localized checkout experience, use Fundraise Up's localization settings instead:

  • Go to Settings → Localization to enable the languages your organization supports.
  • In each campaign, open Settings → Localization to choose which of those languages the campaign should use and add translations for your own content.
  • Fundraise Up can determine a supporter's language from browser settings, site URL rules for Checkout Modal, or a _lang URL parameter.
  • If a supporter's language can't be detected or isn't enabled, Fundraise Up shows the default language set for your organization.

If automatic translation is enabled on a page with Fundraise Up checkout, we recommend disabling it for that page.
