Campaigns can now display video

You can now embed videos from YouTube and Vimeo instead of static images. This works on both Campaign Pages and Checkout Modals, so you have more ways to tell your story through recorded videos or live streams.

Video on Checkout Modal

When supporters visit your campaign, videos show a preview with a play button so they can choose when to start watching. They have standard playback controls to pause, adjust volume, or go fullscreen. If subtitles are available on YouTube or Vimeo, they can turn them on or adjust them in the video settings.

Video on Campaign Page

To set this up, find the new Media section in your campaign settings:

  • For Checkout Modal: Campaigns > [Your campaign name] > Checkout Modal > Ask Page
  • For Campaign Page: Campaigns > [Your campaign name] > Campaign Page > Content

Choose Video, then paste your YouTube or Vimeo URL. The system will check that the link works. Save your changes and make a test donation to see how the video appears to supporters — you can test everything without going live.

Whether you're using recorded content or streaming live, the setup process is the same. Just make sure your video is set to public on YouTube or Vimeo so supporters can access it.

Videos display properly on both desktop and mobile devices, with the player adjusting to fit different screen sizes.
