Import external donations from your CRM
Supporters who gave by check, handed in cash at events, or donated through other platforms can now see those donations in the Donor Portal. Previously, the Donor Portal showed only donations made through Fundraise Up, which led to confusion and questions about missing historical donations.
You can now import these external donations into Fundraise Up by connecting your CRM in import mode (currently supported for Virtuous G&C Import Write and Salesforce NPSP). Imported donations are matched to an existing supporter in your Dashboard or create a new supporter record. All donations added this way are reflected in each supporter’s Donor Portal.
Fundraise Up does not generate tax-compliant receipts for external donations. However, you can set up mapping in your CRM integration to match imported donations with existing receipts issued by your CRM. When mapped, supporters can download those receipts in the Donor Portal — individually or all at once — together with receipts for online donations made through Fundraise Up.
