Record the sponsor fund as the donor on DAF donations

DAF donations can now sync to your CRM with the sponsor fund as the donor and the supporter as a soft credit. This matches the accounting most organizations follow, so the records no longer need correction after each sync.

Until now Fundraise Up recorded the supporter as the donor and kept the fund as donation metadata.

The setting is available in four integrations: Salesforce NPSP, Salesforce Agentforce for Nonprofits, Virtuous G&C Import Write, and HubSpot. Go to Settings > Integrations, open the connection you want it for, and select Sync the sponsor fund (DAF) as the donor. It’s off by default, so nothing changes until you turn it on.
