Win back lapsed supporters with a reactivation email

You can now win back supporters who haven't donated in 12 months or more with an email that asks them to give again. You decide when the reactivation email goes out, what it says, and who never receives it. Each email includes a button that opens checkout prefilled from the supporter's last donation.

Until now, you had to export these supporters and email them from another tool.

Control over the email

You can:

  • Turn the email on or off at any time.
  • Edit its subject, image, title, and text.
  • Exclude supporters through a stop list, such as supporters your team contacts personally or supporters who give offline.
  • Add addresses to the stop list by hand or from a CSV file.

Supporters who receive it

Fundraise Up checks each supporter before every email. A supporter receives it only when:

  • They don't have an active recurring plan.
  • Their last donation wasn't a tribute or external donation.
  • Their marketing consent and region allow it.

Supporters who unsubscribe join the stop list and won't receive the email again.

Results

Fundraise Up tracks the donations that supporters make after they receive the reactivation email. You don't need to track them yourself.

To see whether the email works, check the results:

  • In Insights in your Dashboard, which shows how many supporters donated again and how much they gave.
  • In the summary email you get every Monday, which shows how many supporters donated again last week and how many will receive the email this week.
