Fewer anonymous donations in Tap to Donate and Giving Station

When someone gives through Tap to Donate or Giving Station without entering their details, Fundraise Up now checks whether the same card was used for an earlier donation to your organization, and attaches the donation to that supporter record. No setup is required.

If the supporter or a member of your team adds the details within the existing 4-hour window, those details are used instead, and the card check does not run.

Apple Pay and Google Pay donations go through the same check, but only against donations paid with the same card on the same device. A phone or a watch presents a card number that belongs to the device, so a wallet donation never connects to one paid with the physical card.
