Accept Wero donations from supporters in Belgium, France, and Germany

Organizations can now enable Wero, a pan-European payment method built on bank transfers rather than cards. Supporters in Belgium, France, and Germany can use it for one-time donations in EUR.

Wero appears among the payment options in Checkout Modal, on Campaign Pages, and in Gift Cart when the donation is one-time, the currency is EUR, and the supporter is in one of those three countries. The supporter approves the payment in the Wero app, and it usually completes in under 10 seconds.

Wero takes one-time donations only, so supporters cannot use it for a recurring plan, and it is not available in Virtual Terminal.

Wero donations are processed by Stripe. To accept Wero, an organization first activates it in its own Stripe account, then turns it on in the Fundraise Up Dashboard. Refunds run through the Dashboard, in full, up to 730 days after the donation. Wero does not support disputes.
