Highlight gifts in Gift Catalog with badges
Organizations that use Gift Cart can now add color-coded badges to gifts in their catalog. Badges help supporters spot priority gifts at a glance — what's urgent, what's new, what your organization wants to surface.
Three types of badges
- System badges — Pre-defined by Fundraise Up: Emergency, Most needed, High impact. Assign them manually to any gift.
- Automatic badges — Applied by Fundraise Up automatically: New for recently added gifts, Most viewed for gifts drawing the most attention from catalog visitors.
- Custom badges — Created by your organization with a name and color of your choice.
When an automatic rule applies, the automatic badge takes priority over the manually assigned one. The manual selection is preserved and returns once the gift no longer qualifies.
Where badges appear
Badges show on gift tiles in the Gift Catalog and on the Gift Page. They do not appear in the cart, at checkout, on receipts, or in the Donor Portal.
Turn on badges
Open the catalog's Settings tab, go to Badges, and turn on Enable badges. Once enabled, assign a badge to each gift when you create or edit it.
