Categories, designations, and quantity in Gift Cart
Organizations that use Gift Cart can now group gifts into categories and let supporters choose where a gift's donation goes. Supporters can now also choose how many of a gift to give.
Categories
Group gifts into categories so supporters can filter a large catalog down to the gifts most relevant to them. Set up categories in your Gift Catalog settings, then assign one or more to each gift. When a catalog page has more than one category, supporters see a filter above the gifts and can narrow the catalog to the categories they pick.
To show different gifts on different pages, link a category to specific pages of your site. The same catalog can then show one set of gifts on one page and a different set on another. A supporter can add gifts from any of these pages to one cart and pay for them in a single checkout.

Selectable designations
Until now, each gift used one designation that you set, and supporters never saw it. Each gift now has two designation modes. With Assigned designation, you set one designation and supporters don't see it — the behavior Gift Cart had before. With Selectable designation, you set a list, and supporters pick one on the gift tile or gift page. Their choice shows in the cart and at checkout.
You can set a default so one designation is preselected, or leave it open so supporters must choose before they add the gift to the cart.

Gift quantity
Supporters can now choose how many of a gift to give, instead of adding the same gift one at a time. A supporter can add up to 99 of the same gift to the cart.
Quantity is tied to a combination of designation, amount, and frequency. When all three match, the gifts count as one line with a single quantity. When any of them differs — a different amount, or monthly instead of one-time — it counts separately, with its own quantity.
