Run Tap to Donate on a tablet
Tap to Donate now runs on tablets, not only phones. A staff member can hold the tablet, enter the amount for each donation, and turn it to the supporter to pay. The donation screen is optimized for the larger display.
Before this release, a tablet always opened as Giving Station, the self-serve mode, and the handheld mode required a phone.
Card readers
A tablet with built-in NFC reads cards on its own. An iPad, or an Android tablet without NFC, needs an external Stripe card reader — the same reader Giving Station uses, paired once in the app. Phones read cards through their own NFC, and external readers are not supported on phones.
Switch between modes
Use the menu at the bottom of the screen to move between Tap to Donate and Giving Station. Tap to Donate is selected when the app opens, and each mode lists only its own campaigns.
Giving Station is not available on a phone, or on a tablet with a screen smaller than about 8 inches.
