Separate tribute e-cards for in honor and in memory donations
Organizations can now configure two tribute e-cards: one for donations made in honor of someone, one for donations made in memory of someone. Until now a single e-card covered both dedication types, so both used the same wording.
Go to Settings > Emails > Tribute, where Tribute e-card – In Honor and Tribute e-card – In Memory now replace the single e-card. Fundraise Up sends the one that matches the dedication type the supporter chose in Donor Portal. If a tribute doesn't have a dedication type, the recipient receives Tribute e-card – In Honor.
Each e-card has its own subject, content title, image, content text, and translations, at the account level and for individual campaigns.
A donation made in memory of someone is often shared with their family, so the person who receives the e-card and the person the donation is dedicated to are not always the same. Add the new Recipient Name field to the subject or the content text for the person receiving the e-card, and the existing Tribute Name field for the person the donation is dedicated to.
If you customized the tribute e-card, we copied your customizations into both new e-cards, including any account and campaign overrides. Review the In Memory version — you wrote that text when one e-card covered both dedication types. If you never customized the e-card, each new e-card starts from its own default content. The In Memory default addresses the person receiving the e-card rather than the person being remembered.
