Sponsorship: let supporters sponsor a person or an animal
You can now let supporters sponsor a specific person or animal in your program with a recurring donation. Sponsorship fits child sponsorship, programs that support specific adults, and animal sponsorship at shelters, sanctuaries, and zoos.
How Sponsorship works
You create a sponsorship profile for each person or animal in a Gift Catalog campaign, with their name, photos, story, and details such as age and country. Supporters browse the profiles on your website, filter them by age, country, and other details, and become sponsors with a recurring donation. Once a person or animal has a sponsor, Fundraise Up hides their profile from your website until the sponsorship ends, so each person or animal has one sponsor at a time.
Sponsors can follow their sponsorships in a new Sponsorship section of Donor Portal, with the details of each person or animal and the history of their donations.
Create and update gifts and profiles in bulk
You can now create and update the gifts and sponsorship profiles in a catalog with a CSV file instead of one by one. Download a template or export the current gifts and profiles, edit the file in a spreadsheet app, and import it back.
Archive gifts
Gifts and sponsorship profiles can now be archived instead of deleted. An archived gift is hidden from your website but stays in the Dashboard, in filters, and in exports, and its recurring donations continue.
Gift details in exports and integrations
Donation and recurring plan exports, as well as CRM field mapping, now include details about the gift or sponsorship profile, such as the gift type and the date of birth of the person or animal. A new Gift cart items export type gives you a file of all the gifts and profiles in your catalogs, with their settings.
