Correcting a Tributee's Email Address

When a supporter makes a tribute gift through Fundraise Up, they have the option to send an e-card to the tributee notifying them of the donation made in their honor. However, if the donor accidentally enters an incorrect email address for the tributee, the e-card will not reach the intended recipient.

Steps to Correct the Tributee's Email Address

To amend a tributee's email address, follow these simple steps:

  1. Access the Donation Page:
    • Log in to your Fundraise Up Dashboard.
    • Navigate to the Donations section.
    • Locate the relevant donation that contains the incorrect tributee email address and click on it to open the donation page.
  2. Edit the Tribute Section:
    • Within the donation page, find the Tribute section.
    • Click on the Edit button located in this section to modify the tribute details.
  3. Update the Email Address:
    • A popup window will appear, allowing you to edit the tribute information.
    • Locate the field displaying the recipient's email address.
    • Correct the email address, ensuring that it is accurate and free of typos.
    • Verify that the Send e-card to recipient checkbox is marked. This ensures that the tribute e-card will be sent to the updated email address.
  4. Save the Changes:
    • After making the necessary correction to the tributee's email address, click on the Save and send e-card to recipient button.
    • The popup window will close, and the updated email address will be saved.
  5. Confirm the Update:
    • Back on the donation page, review the Tribute section to confirm that the email address has been successfully updated.

Once you have completed these steps, the tribute e-card will be sent to the correct email address, ensuring that the tributee receives the notification of the donation made in their honor.
