Understanding the built-in FAQ section in Fundraise Up's donation process
Fundraise Up includes a small, built-in FAQ section designed to address common supporter questions. This feature appears during the donation process in both the Checkout modal and on Campaign Pages, providing supporters with quick access to important information whether they're donating through your website or a dedicated campaign page.

How the FAQ section works
When donors click on any of the questions in the FAQ section, a relevant tooltip opens, displaying the answer and providing additional context. This feature enhances the donor experience and addresses potential concerns during the donation process, regardless of where the donation is being made.
Intelligent display of FAQ questions
The FAQ questions are dynamically shown or hidden based on your account settings. Here's how each question is managed:
- "Is my donation secure?"
- Displayed in all cases
- Reason: All donations are secured via SSL
- "Is this donation tax-deductible?"
- Displayed for accounts in the US, Canada, Mexico and Australia
- Condition: The account has checked the boxes in settings indicating that donations are tax-deductible
- "Can I cancel my recurring donation?"
- Displayed when both of the following conditions are met: a) The Recurring Receipt email templates are set to send b) Recurring Plan cancellation via Donor Portal is enabled, allowing donors to cancel their own recurring donations
