Accepting in-person donations
When it comes to accepting donations at events or in person, organizations can use Fundraise Up without a physical card reader. For contactless in-person donations, use Tap to Donate. For staff-entered donations, use Virtual Terminal.
Tap to Donate
Tap to Donate turns an iPhone or Android phone into a donation terminal through the Fundraise Up mobile app. A team member opens the app, selects a campaign, enters the donation amount, and presents the device to the supporter. The supporter taps a physical card, phone, or watch to give.
No card reader or additional hardware is required. Tap to Donate is currently invite-only and available for events in the United States. To join, contact your Customer Success Manager or reach out to Fundraise Up support.
Virtual Terminal
Fundraise Up's Virtual Terminal enables manual processing of donations on behalf of supporters. It is useful when staff need to enter donation details directly, such as for phone donations, mail-in donations, or in-person situations where contactless payment is not the best fit.
