Displaying Organization Names in the Social Proof Element

The Social Proof element displays recent donations to encourage supporters to give. You can control how supporter information appears, including whether names are shown or hidden.

Donations made on behalf of organizations

When a donation is made on behalf of an organization, the Social Proof element displays the organization’s name instead of an individual’s name.

This happens when the Supporter’s name setting is set to any of the following options:

  • Full name
  • First name
  • First name, last initial

If the Supporter’s name setting is set to Hide, no name is shown for the donation.

This behavior ensures that organization donations are attributed to the organization, regardless of which name format is selected.

Adjusting name display in the Social Proof element

  1. Go to Elements page.
  2. Open the Social Proof element.
  3. In the Behavior tab, locate Supporter’s name.
  4. Select how supporter names should be displayed, or choose Hide to hide names entirely.
  5. Save changes.
