Uninstalling Fundraise Up
At Fundraise Up, our goal is to provide the best fundraising solutions for nonprofit organizations. However, we understand that our platform may not be the perfect fit for everyone. If you've decided to discontinue using Fundraise Up, please follow the steps below to ensure a smooth transition.
Step 1: Notify your Success Manager
If you were assigned a Success Manager, reach out to them and inform them of your decision to stop using Fundraise Up. Your Success Manager can guide you through the uninstallation process and answer any questions you may have.
Step 2: Remove Fundraise Up code from your website
To stop using Fundraise Up on your website, you'll need to:
- Remove the installation code from the
<head>
section of your website. - Remove all Fundraise Up element code from your webpages.
- Remove links to Campaign Pages from your website.
Step 3: Disconnect payment providers
If you've connected Stripe or PayPal to your Fundraise Up account, you'll need to disconnect them from your payment option settings to prevent new donations from being processed through Fundraise Up. Existing recurring plans will continue to process payments through the initially connected payment provider, even after disconnection. This ensures that ongoing donor commitments are honored.
Step 4: Disconnect integrations (optional)
Navigate to your Integration settings and disconnect any integrations you've set up with Fundraise Up. This will prevent any data from being synced between Fundraise Up and your other platforms.
Step 5: Cancel recurring donation plans (optional)
If you have recurring donation plans set up through Fundraise Up, be cautious about canceling them if you intend to migrate these plans to another provider. Canceling a recurring plan removes the associated payment method, which could make migration impossible. Instead, consider keeping the plans active until you've successfully migrated them to your new platform.
