How to Add Elements to a Squarespace Website

After adding Fundraise Up installation code to your site, you can easily add Elements to your website.

Adding a Donate Button Element to the Site Header

To add a Donation Button to your Squarespace website, follow these steps:

  1. In the Squarespace page editor, hover over the site header and select Edit Site Header.
  2. Select the Add Elements button.
  3. Toggle on the Button option.
  4. Select the appeared button and click the Edit Button.
  5. In the URL property of the Link section, enter a hash sign (#) followed by the ID of the Element you want to display in the header. The Element's ID can be located in its code snippet, as illustrated below. In this case, the ID is XTGWFZFR, so you would enter #XTGWFZFR.

Adding Elements to the Main Webpage Section

To add Fundraise Up Elements to the main section of a webpage, follow these steps:

  1. In your Fundraise Up Dashboard, create a new Element and customize it according to your preferences.
  2. Copy the HTML code of the created Element.
  3. Go to the Squarespace page editor and navigate to the page where you want the element to appear.
  4. Select Add Block in the main content area of the page.
  5. Choose Code from the window that pops up.
  6. Click on Edit.
  7. Paste the HTML code you copied from Fundraise Up into the code block in Squarespace.
  8. Save your changes and preview your website to ensure that the Element is visible and functioning as expected.

Repeat these steps for each Element you wish to add to your Squarespace website.
