Understanding Donor Portal login sessions

Fundraise Up provides a Donor Portal feature that allows supporters to manage their contributions and personal details effortlessly. A critical aspect of the Donor Portal is the login session management, which ensures both security and convenience for supporters.

Session duration

After a supporter logs in to the Donor Portal, their session remains active for 30 days on that device and browser.

During this period, they can return to the Donor Portal without logging in again.

When a new session starts

A new 30-day session begins when:

  • The supporter logs in again after their previous session has expired
  • The supporter updates credentials inside the Donor Portal

This ensures account changes are handled securely while maintaining usability.

Session expiration

If the 30-day period passes without a new login, the session expires automatically.

What happens next:

  • The supporter is redirected to the Donor Portal login page
  • A new login is required to regain access
