Impact of Updating a Donor's Email Address on Donor Portal Access

The Donor Portal is a valuable feature provided by Fundraise Up that allows supporters to manage their recurring plans, update their payment information, and view their donation history.

Automatic Synchronization

When you modify a supporter's email address in your Fundraise Up dashboard, the following synchronization process occurs:

  1. Donor Portal Update:
    • The supporter's email address is automatically updated in the Donor Portal.
    • The change takes effect immediately, and the supporter can access their account using the new email address.
  2. Donation History Preservation:
    • All previous donations associated with the supporter's old email address remain linked to their account.
    • The supporter's donation history in the Donor Portal will continue to display all contributions, regardless of the email address used at the time of the donation.
