Fundraise Up installation code and Elements on Google Sites
Google Sites does not support adding scripts to the <head> section. Because of this limitation, Fundraise Up Elements must be added using custom HTML embeds on each page where they appear.
Use the steps below to add Fundraise Up Elements to a Google Sites website.
Get the installation code
- Log in to your Fundraise Up Dashboard.
- Go to Settings → Installation.
- Copy the Installation code.
Create and copy the element code
- Go to the Elements page.
- Create a new element (e.g., Donation Form, Donation Button) or select an existing one.
- Copy the Element embed code.
Add the codes to Google Sites
- Open your site in Google Sites.
- Navigate to the page where the Element should appear.
- Open Insert → Embed → Embed code.
- Paste the Installation code.
- Paste the Element embed code directly below it.
- Click Next, then Save.
- Publish the page.
Each Fundraise Up Element added to Google Sites must include both the Installation code and the Element embed code on the page where it appears.
Limitations and considerations
Google Sites does not support global (overlay) Elements in Fundraise Up.
Because Google Sites does not allow scripts in the <head> section, the Fundraise Up installation code runs only inside embedded HTML blocks. As a result, global Elements are not initialized and will not appear.
The following Elements are not supported on Google Sites:
- Sticky Button
- Floating Button
- Reminder
- Message Bar
- Social Proof
- Popup
