Can I record offline donations in Fundraise Up?

Fundraise Up processes online donations made directly through the platform and does not provide a way to manually enter individual offline gifts (such as cash or checks) into the dashboard. Offline donations should continue to be recorded in your CRM, which remains the system of record for those gifts.

You can account for offline donations in Fundraise Up in the following ways:

  1. Campaign level: Add the total offline amount and number of offline supporters directly in a campaign’s settings using the Offline field.
  2. Fundraisers: Add offline donation amounts to individual peer-to-peer fundraisers so cash or check gifts appear in the fundraiser’s totals.
  3. Goal Meter and Stat Counter elements: Include offline totals when configuring these elements for a more complete view of progress.
  4. External Donations: If your organization uses an eligible CRM integration with the External Donations import enabled, offline and other non-FRU donations stored in your CRM will appear in the supporter’s Donor Portal as read-only external donations.

Manual offline fields in campaigns, fundraisers, and elements do not create individual donation records inside Fundraise Up. For detailed recordkeeping, continue adding offline gifts to your CRM. If External Donations are enabled, Fundraise Up simply displays those CRM-stored gifts in the Donor Portal so supporters can view their full giving history in one place.
