How to switch to Stripe’s nonprofit rate

To ensure a smooth application process and faster approval, first connect Stripe to Fundraise Up. This adds a priority flag to your account with Stripe.

Step 1: Register and activate your Stripe account

You have two options:

  1. Creating a new Stripe account.
  2. Connecting an existing Stripe account.

Once connected, make sure your Stripe account is activated.

Step 2: Get your Stripe account ID

To find your Stripe account ID in your Fundraise Up dashboard:

  1. Go to Settings > Payment methods > Stripe.
  2. Look for the Stripe account ID in the Connected account field. The ID always starts with "acct_".

Step 3: Apply for nonprofit pricing

To apply, you must submit a request through Stripe’s authenticated contact form. This allows Stripe to verify your identity automatically, leading to a faster resolution.

  1. Log in to your Stripe Dashboard as the account owner.
  2. Open the Stripe Nonprofit Support Form.
  3. In the "Tell us more" field, provide the information listed in the template below.
  4. Use the "Upload a file" button to attach your proof of nonprofit status.

Please allow up to 5-10 business days for the discounted processing fees to be applied to your account.
