Reactivating Recurring Plans

If a recurring donation plan has been canceled, it is still possible to restart it. This article will guide you through the process of renewing a canceled recurring plan using either the Fundraise Up Dashboard or the Donor Portal.

Reactivating a Canceled Recurring Plan from the Fundraise Up Dashboard

To renew a canceled recurring plan from the Fundraise Up Dashboard, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your organization's Fundraise Up Dashboard.
  2. Locate the canceled recurring plan record page using one of the following methods:
    • Use the global search bar to find the recurring plan directly.
    • From the Recurring tab, use filters to locate the plan.
    • Find the corresponding Supporter record and navigate to the Recurring plans section.
    • On the Donation page, scroll down and click the Recurring plan ID to go to the plan's record page.
  3. Once you are on the canceled recurring plan record page, click the Reactivate button in the top right corner of the page.
  4. Set the parameters for the renewal.
  5. Confirm the renewal settings and click Save changes to complete the process.

After completing these steps, the recurring plan will be reactivated, and the supporter will be charged according to the new settings moving forward.

Reactivating a Canceled Recurring Plan from the Donor Portal

Supporters can also renew their canceled recurring plans directly through your organization's Donor Portal. To renew a canceled donation through the Donor Portal, the supporter should follow these steps:

  1. Access the Donor Portal through one of the following methods:
    • Click the link provided in the recurring donation receipt email.
    • Log in to the Donor Portal directly using your organization's unique URL. You can find your organization's Donor Portal URL in the settings. For more information, refer to the Donor Portal Settings documentation.
  2. Navigate to the canceled recurring plan page in the Donor Portal.
  3. Click the Reactivate button to initiate the renewal process.
  4. Set the parameters for the renewal.
  5. Confirm the renewal settings and click Confirm Reactivation to complete the process.

Please note that setting limits for recurring plans can only be done through the Fundraise Up Dashboard and is not available in the Donor Portal.

After completing these steps, the recurring plan will be reactivated, and the supporter will be charged according to the new settings moving forward.
