Understanding Stripe Metadata for Fundraise Up Donations
As of October 11, 2023, Fundraise Up has updated its Stripe integration. For new accounts, only the Donation ID will be sent as metadata to Stripe.
Stripe Metadata for Fundraise Up Donations
For accounts created before October 11, 2023, Fundraise Up sends various pieces of information as metadata to Stripe when a donation is processed. This metadata typically includes:
- Account information (ID, Code, Name)
- Campaign details (ID, Code, Name)
- Designation information (ID, Code, Name)
- Donation specifics (ID, Page URL)
- Recurring donation ID (if applicable)
- Source of the donation
- Supporter information (Email, First Name, Last Name)
- Vendor (Fundraise Up)
Static Nature of Metadata
Once recorded in Stripe, this metadata remains unchanged, even if the donation information is updated in Fundraise Up.

For the most up-to-date donation information, always refer to the Fundraise Up dashboard, as it reflects any changes made after the initial donation processing.
