Northwest Harvest Case Study

The challenge

An inefficient platform that needed to be manually updated
Northwest Harvest is the leading hunger relief agency in the state of Washington. Through the generosity of its donors, the organization is able to provide two million meals per month through its 375 food banks, meal programs, and high-need schools.
The Northwest Harvest team wanted to grow the organization's online fundraising, especially its recurring giving and P2P programs. But it was running into challenges getting data from its donation platform into its CRM. Any change in donor information had to be input manually by its team, taking away from additional efforts that could go into expanding its fundraising campaigns.
Northwest Harvest needed a platform that could:
  1. Seamlessly integrate with Salesforce
  2. Offer built-in recurring giving, tribute giving, and P2P features
  3. Provide comprehensive reports on fundraising performance

The solution

A single platform that offered everything it needed
Northwest Harvest was impressed by Fundraise Up's seamless integration into its CRM, Salesforce. The organization especially appreciates that when donor information is changed in Fundraise Up, the data is simultaneously updated in Salesforce without any additional effort from the Northwest Harvest team.
Fundraise Up came with key features Northwest Harvest was looking for. With recurring giving, P2P, tribute giving, and automated email functionality all baked into one platform, the organization could discontinue using other systems and manage all of its fundraising under one platform.
With real-time communication to and from its CRM, features that better engage donors, and a backend that provides full visibility into campaign performance, Northwest Harvest has seen huge lifts in its fundraising.
We now have the infrastructure in place — built through Fundraise Up — to expand our recurring giving program dramatically.
