In-Person Giving and DIY Peer-to-Peer are live

The generosity your supporters show doesn't only happen on one donation page on your website. It happens when a board member shares her peer-to-peer fundraiser for her birthday. It happens when a guest at your gala taps a card at their table. Wherever your donors are, you need to be equipped to meet them there.

Starting this week, In-Person Giving and DIY Peer-to-Peer fundraising are available to Fundraise Up users. Peer-to-peer is open to everyone worldwide, while In Person Giving is only available in the US and Canada at this time (we anticipate its arrival for UK customers before the end of the year). No matter how your supporters give, we make sure that every gift from every channel lands in the same place as the rest of your online gifts.

DIY peer-to-peer fundraising is ready for Giving Season

For years, peer-to-peer fundraising has been a great way to expand your reach to new donors, but a lousy way to collect new donor information. And when your most loyal supporters take a step to create their own fundraising page, they have to fill out a mountain of information about themselves, their story, and why they care.

That’s why a huge percentage of individual fundraisers bring in exactly zero dollars.

We’re changing that.

Here’s what you get with our new DIY peer-to-peer solution:

  • One-click signup: supporters create a fundraiser page in moments, with no new account to manage.
  • AI moderation: reviews fundraiser pages automatically to keep your brand safe.
  • The same Checkout: every gift goes through the same Checkout your donors already use online.
  • One set of donor records: fundraisers and their donors land in the same records as the rest of your giving, so nothing lives in a separate system.

Already a Fundraise Up customer? Here’s how to turn it on: open peer-to-peer fundraising in your Dashboard, answer two short questions about your plans, and our team will activate it for you within 48 hours.

Coming soon:

  • AI Coach: helps fundraisers draft their story and suggests next steps when momentum stalls.
  • Event fundraising: Registration and ticketing, like walks, runs and rides, are coming soon. The current release is built for supporter-led fundraisers: birthdays, memorials, challenges and team campaigns. (Release expected in 2027)

Meet your donors when it matters with In-Person Giving

When donors are motivated to give, they want to give right away, and they don’t want to spend their evening waiting for someone to hand out envelopes. With our new In-Person Giving product, your in-person giving experience is simple, frictionless, and makes follow-up a breeze.

In-Person Giving provides you with two ways to collect donations:

  • Tap to Donate: Staff and volunteers collect donations on a supported iPhone or Android phone. No card reader needed.
  • Giving Station: A self-serve giving point on an iPad or Android tablet, for lobbies, gala tables and conference booths.

Donors can give by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, as a one-time or recurring gift. Every gift you collect face to face in our platform is attributed to a campaign and linked to a donor record.

The donor who gives at your event isn't a stranger tomorrow: their gift is connected to their online giving history, so you can thank them and follow up, just like you would with any other supporter.

Why one platform matters

When peer-to-peer, in-person and online giving live in separate tools, you lose the full picture of a supporter. A fundraiser who raised money for your walk, then gave online in December, then tapped a card at your gala can show up in your database as three different people.

With Fundraise Up, you only see one person, with one record, one giving history and one relationship to build on. Your team spends less time reconciling spreadsheets and more time stewarding donors.
