Senior Director Christian Faith

About Fundraise Up

We’re Fundraise Up - a global fundraising platform built to make donating to nonprofits fast, seamless, and accessible to all. Every month, our technology powers tens of millions of dollars in donations across the globe. We focus on innovation that directly impacts results: faster load times, higher conversion rates, global payment support, and accessibility-first design.

Our platform is trusted by many of the world’s leading nonprofits, including UNICEF, the Alzheimer’s Association, and a wide range of global NGOs. With a 4.9/5 rating across top software review platforms, we’re recognized not just for our impact - but for the quality of the product we deliver.

About the Role

The best vertical leaders don’t sell to a market. They become part of it.

Churches, denominations, ministries, and Christian humanitarian groups already trust Fundraise Up with their most important giving moments, from Advent and Christmas to Easter and year-end stewardship. The demand is real. What the vertical needs now is an owner. As Senior Director, Faith (Christian), you’ll run the Christian vertical as a business. You’ll personally lead our largest pursuits and set how the company goes to market across evangelical, mainline Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox communities. This is a senior individual contributor role reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Christian vertical revenue plan, including new ARR, GPV growth, and win rate, with a four-quarter forecast you build and defend.
  • Personally source, lead, and close Tier 1 deals with megachurches, multi-site churches, national denominations and dioceses, seminary and Christian university networks, and global relief and missions organizations. Expect 9–12+ month cycles, and own the executive relationships throughout: senior pastors, bishops, denominational leaders, board chairs, CFOs, and stewardship leaders.
  • Build and maintain a named Tier 1 target list across traditions, segmented by identity (faith-core, faith-origin, faith-community) and giving model (tithes and offerings, capital campaigns, missions giving, child sponsorship).
  • Partner with Customer Success to grow the existing Christian portfolio through expansion, migration, and retention plays, since existing organizations drive most of the vertical’s volume.
  • Lead the Christian Organizations Cross-Functional Squad on the go-to-market side. That means one set of goals, one ICP, and one operating cadence across Sales, BDR, Marketing, Product, CS, Solutions, RevOps, and Partnerships. You’ll also own the giving calendar so campaigns and releases land ahead of Advent, Lent and Easter, fall stewardship, GivingTuesday, and year-end.
  • Build the Christian sales playbook, covering discovery, stewardship language, committee-driven buying, objection handling, and positioning against ChMS and church-giving platforms. Coach AEs and BDRs on Tier 2–3 deals so the vertical scales beyond your own.
  • Bring the voice of the Christian customer to Product, prioritizing deal-blocking gaps and shaping recurring tithing, pledges and capital campaigns, seasonal giving, and church-management integrations.
  • Represent Fundraise Up in the Christian community through denominational gatherings, church and ministry conferences, reference customers, case studies, and thought leadership.
  • At Fundraise Up, AI is a default tool, not an experimental one. We expect every team member to actively use AI in their day-to-day work, identify where AI can change the shape of problems in their function, and grow their fluency as the tools evolve. In this role, that means using AI to sharpen account research, pipeline insight, and the playbook your team sells from.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 12+ years in B2B SaaS, fintech, or nonprofit technology sales, with a consistent record of exceeding quota in enterprise or strategic segments.
  • Deep professional experience selling to, working for, or leading Christian churches, denominations, or ministries. You understand how they decide, give, and govern, from elder boards and congregational votes to diocesan structures, and you have the executive presence to earn trust where relationships come first.
  • Proven ability to close large, complex deals ($500K+ or equivalent strategic value) with 9–12+ month cycles and multi-stakeholder buying committees.
  • Experience owning a segment, vertical, or territory as a business: building the plan, forecasting it in Salesforce, and reporting it to senior leadership.
  • A track record of leading cross-functional work without formal authority.
  • Demonstrated use of AI to improve sales outcomes.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to travel ~30%.

Nice to Have

  • Working knowledge of giving practices across more than one Christian tradition, such as faith-promise giving, building campaigns, or Catholic parish and diocesan appeals.
  • An existing network among megachurches, multi-site churches, denominations and dioceses, or Christian relief and missions organizations.
  • Experience with ChMS, church-giving, or donor CRM platforms and their integrations.
  • Experience building a new vertical from early traction to scale.
  • Fluency in Spanish, Korean, or Portuguese.

You’ll Thrive Here If You…

  • Treat a vertical like a business you own, not a territory you were handed.
  • Know that in this community, trust is earned over coffee and committee meetings, not in a demo.
  • Get Product, Marketing, and CS moving with you through clarity and credibility, not a title.
  • Say the hard thing about a forecast early, and say it plainly.
  • Stay patient through a 12-month cycle without losing urgency on any given week.
  • Want your best deals to become the playbook other sellers win with.
  • Keep getting curious about how giving works differently across traditions.
