With crypto donations averaging 11,000 USD, allowing supporters to make cryptocurrency donations to your campaigns can be an extremely valuable addition.

Enable crypto donations

To enable crypto donations to your organization’s campaigns, you’ll need to connect a Gemini account to your Fundraise Up account.

Once the service is successfully linked to your Fundraise Up account, crypto will appear as a payment method option you can offer to supporters in your campaign payment method settings.

Fees

The platform fee for cryptocurrency donations is 5%. This is not taken directly out of the donation itself. Fundraise Up will contact your organization each month with an invoice, collating all the platform fees owed for crypto donations received that month. The monthly fees must be paid by credit or debit card, and can’t be paid by check or any other payment method.

You can see the platform fee for an individual donation by opening that donation from the Donations tab, in the Platform Fee line in the Payment and Fees section.
