Implementation guide

Follow the steps below to connect Fundraise Up to Gemini.

Prerequisites

  • You must have administrative access to your Gemini account.
  • You must have access to your organization’s Fundraise Up account with a user that has the Organization Administrator user role.

Steps

Gemini

  1. Log-in to your Gemini account.
  2. Select Account in the top menu bar.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. In the sidebar menu, select API.
  5. Select Create API key.
  6. When prompted to choose a scope, select Primary.
  7. Select Next.
  8. Input a name for your API key in the API key name field. We recommend: “Fundraise Up API key.”
  9. Copy the API key value to a safe place, like a password manager.
  10. Copy the API secret value to safe place, like a password manager.
  11. Select Fund management as the API key settings option.
    Ensure that the Uses a time based nonce option is not selected. If this option is selected, the integration will not work.
  12. Select the option to acknowledge that your API secret has been saved to a safe place.
  13. Select Create API key.

Fundraise Up

  1. Log-in to your Fundraise Up account.
  2. Select your user in the upper right section of the Fundraise Up Dashboard.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Payment methods from the side menu.
  5. In the “Payment processors” section, select Gemini.
  6. Select Gemini.
  7. In the API key field, input the API key from Gemini.
  8. In the API secret field, input the API secret from Gemini.
  9. Select Connect.

Fundraise Up is now connected to Gemini and you can enable crypto as a donation method in Checkout.
