Migration
Use our free migration service to move your existing recurring supporters to Fundraise Up.
When you switch to Fundraise Up, you will likely have recurring plans that you want to migrate from your existing donation platform. To facilitate this move, we offer a free migration service to help you transition your recurring plans smoothly.
How migration to Fundraise Up works
Migration is a three-step process to transfer your recurring donations to Fundraise Up.
- Provide a list of recurring plans to be transferred to Fundraise Up, pulling donor information from your current donation system or CRM. Match these records with payment method details from your current payments platform (like Authorize.Net, PayPal, Stripe, etc.).
- Request your current payments provider to move the tokenized payment methods for these recurring plans over to Stripe, which is the payment platform used by Fundraise Up.
- We will then set up the recurring plans in your Fundraise Up account, link them to the appropriate payment methods in Stripe, and activate the plans within Fundraise Up.
The Solutions Engineer assigned to your organization by Fundraise Up will manage the migration process. They will ensure that the migration is smooth, without disrupting your fundraising activities or impacting the supporter experience.
For more details on the migration process, check the “Understanding migration” article.
Request a migration
Once you've switched to Fundraise Up, you can request our migration service. However, before proceeding, please confirm that:
- You've fully transitioned to Fundraise Up by making sure that all donation links on your website now redirect to either the Fundraise Up Checkout modal or a specific Campaign Page. This step is critical to prevent new recurring plans from being created through your old forms.
- You have a minimum of 25 active recurring plans eligible for migration. If you have fewer than that, please consult the “Manual migration” article for guidance.
- You've reviewed the “Vendor limitations” section at the end of this article to be aware of any fees or restrictions your current platform may impose on the migration process.
Request a migration based on your account type. See the table below for specific instructions.
Account type | Instructions |
---|---|
Self-managed account | Email the migrations team at migrations@fundraiseup.com to request migration. |
Custom account | Submit the migration form, or contact your designated Customer Success Manager if you have any questions about the form or the process. |
